  • Time Jailing
  • Temporary Baning
  • Baning

Shard Rules

Respect Others

There is a fine line between Role playing (RP) and flat out harassment and trash talking. Trash talking means anyone who is intentionally insulting someone Out of Character(OOC). Harrassment is when the person being harrased uses a messenger bird private message and ask someone else to please leave them alone and the ther person does not do it. Anyone who feels they have been dissrespected in one of these ways should contact the first avalible staff member and the situation will be investigated, and the proper actions will be done as soon as possible. It is not a requirement for everyone to role play but please respect those who do. In game speach in person should always be regarded as roleplay unless they are using { and } brackets for example: *Yawns* I suddenly feel very sleepy {Give me a few min i gota go afk a sec} For more information see the Roleplaying guide.

The Private Message System Rules
The Private Message System ([pm) is for players convience. PM messages  should always be regarded as roleplay unless they are using { and } brackets for example: *Yawns* I suddenly feel very sleepy {Give me a few min i gota go afk a sec} The same 'respect others' Rule applies here. No cursing or foul language will be promited.
The Jail Area
When in the jail area, you have been brought here for an important reason. All RP and joking around should stop, untill the matter for which you have been brought there has been handled.
No Offensive Names

Anyone who creates a character with an obscene or offensive, name will be asked to select a new name that is not offensive. There is no reason someone can not come up with a good name. If you have problems being creative, please visit one of the links and find a good random name generator. Remember that we are a family friendly shard.

No Cursing

In umbra there is a rock quarry where players who are sent there, must mine rocks. Once the player has received the required amount of rocks for his punishment, the player will be set free. Be aware that the auto jailing system is installed, and any curse word may automatically send you to the jail.

No Looting Players

Players should not loot one another. It is dissrespectful and should not be done. Do NOT open another players corpse. If you do you are tagged as tampering with that corpse, and there fore if an item turns up missing you can be accused of looting that item. If you are in a party with someone and they die, and can not get back to their body in time, you should ask the person if they want you to collect their items for them before you open their corpse. You should inform Sirenix as soon as you give the items to the party member that you have assisted in a recovery of the persons items.

No Begging the Staff

Each person who is elected to staff positions each has his or her own rules they must follow. They will not give the players any items, or Resurrections. You can ask about any of the custom systems that you might have a question about or ask where the nearest healer may be, or other question about the shard, or for assistance about a possible bug.

Shard Events

Players who choose to take part in any shard event (quest, scenario, or competition) Must follow the rules for that event. Anyone who is caught cheating in the events will be disqualified and fined 5000 gold, for a first offense. It takes a great deal of time, and effort to set up these events and do not wish for players to be cheated. We take a lot of pride in doing them for our players. No stealing or snooping are aloud during these events. No guild war battles during events.

No Killing On Sight

Killing on sight or (KOS) is defined as engaging in combat with another player as soon as they are spotted. There are several reasons for this, The player being attacked may not be away from the computer, (AFK) or may not wish to be involved in combat. There are Four main types of combat, a duel, guild (or faction) town attack, group battle, or Guild training battle. These will be described later in "War Guild Rules" and "Felucca Rules."

Guild War Rules

Guild rules are agreed on by all guild masters regardless if they plan to go to war or not. Knowing the Guild War Rules before you go to war is important. Any rule that may need to be improved on, or new rule added, will be discussed with the guild masters of each guild.

Before The War

Before going to war, guild masters should meet in a private place and discuss several things before declaring war. First thing they should do is both should set up a Home Town, and Select an area that is considered neutral to go to if their Home Town is attacked. The next the guild masters should write a short story for why the guilds are at war. It is always better if the players know exactly who their enemies are, and why they are fighting. Any additional rules (not already listed here) should also be discussed.

Neutral Areas

All monster hunting areas, and dungeons, are considered to be neutral areas. No guild combat should take place in these areas. Haven and Britain by default, are neutral towns. No guild combat should take place in these cities. Each guild should have a neutral town that they can retreat where the opposing guild will not attack them.

Duel Rules

A duel is any fight between any two (or more) persons, in a controlled combat environment. Terms of the duel must be agreed on by Both parties before the fight begins.

Guild Town Attack

This is a large scale battle where two (or more) groups battle for a town. Before the Battle begins the guild master of the attacking guild must send a message, to the guild master of the defending guild, and give the defending guild at least 10 minuets to prepare his guild for the attack. Players who are killed during combat, should get resurrected, and go back to their body. They should then get their possessions and put back on the death robe, and go to some neutral area away from the battle. Players who are killed in this manner are to be considered ghosts and dead until the battle is over. They are NOT to be attacked again until after the battle and only then can they remove their death robes. The attacking guild will control the area for 15 minutes, before the defenders, can try to reclaim the area. Guilds could use this time to get more supplies, and discuss strategies.

No Combat During Events

Any event that the staff members have are open for all to join in. No guild combat should take place during the events. Players in the events must follow the rules set for each event.

Felucca Rules

Respect Others

There is a fine line between Role playing (RP) and flat out harassment and trash talking. Trash talking means anyone who is intentionally insulting someone Out of Character(OOC). Harrassment is when the person being harrased uses a messenger bird private message and ask someone else to please leave them alone and the ther person does not do it. Stealing Rules

With insurance on items this will not probably be a huge issue however rules do need to be applied. Before a theif atempts to steal he/she must communicate with the target player before atempteing to steal an item. The communication can be anything that requires a reply, such as saying "hi" or "nice weather we are haveing eah?" If the other player does not reply it is assumed that they are Away From the Keyboard(afk), and should not be stolen from. If they do reply, they can atempt to steal the item. When a thief does steal an item, he will NOT harass the player who he has taken it from, nor will the player who was stolen from talk trash to the thief. If the thief is killed during the theft, the player may loot the thief and receive only the item that was stolen.

Lycans and Vampires

Players should be aware that you can be turned and bitten by Vampire and Lycan players. You should always follow roleplay guidelines if you encounter them in felucca, and players involved should not trash talk one another. Players who choose to be Vampires or Lycans MUST always follow RP guidelines, AND guild war rules. No exceptions.
